Solid Shampoo and Conditioner Bars
Designed to reduce the consumption of plastic but keep your hair looking nurtured and divine.
There are many reasons to switch to a solid shampoo and conditioning bar but here are a few of the best ones:
- Less Packaging & More Eco-Friendly
- Usually sold with little or no plastic.
- Reduces waste and shipping impact (lighter, smaller).
- Highly Concentrated & Long-Lasting
- Little to no added water compared to liquid shampoos.
- One bar can often last as long as 2–3 bottles of liquid shampoo, depending on hair length and washing frequency.
- Travel-Friendly
- No risk of spills or leaks.
- TSA-friendly for carry-on luggage because it’s not a liquid.
- Space-Saving
- Takes up less space in the shower and in storage.
- Great for small bathrooms and minimalist routines.
- Gentler, Simpler Formulas (when made that way)
- Easy to formulate with mild surfactants and nourishing oils/butters.
- Often free from many common additives (excess preservatives, certain silicones) found in some liquid shampoos.
- Easy to Use
- Just wet hair and bar, rub the bar directly on the scalp or lather in hands, then massage and rinse.
- Rinses out quickly when formulated well.
- Cost-Effective Over Time
- Higher upfront price can work out cheaper per wash because of how long the bar lasts.
This is my absolute favourite product, give it a try and let us know how you feel about. Will you make the switch?
Sugar Scrubs
Sugar Scrubs have been a long time favourite of mine as they leave your skin feeling absolutely replenished, soothed and smooth. In the cosmetic industry the known benefits are as follows:
- Gentle Exfoliation
- Sugar granules help buff away dead, dry skin cells from the surface.
- They’re generally gentler than salt scrubs, so they’re suitable for most skin types (even more sensitive ones, when formulated well).
- Softer, Smoother Skin
- Removing the buildup of dead skin leaves skin feeling silky and smooth.
- Rough areas like elbows, knees, heels, and hands become noticeably softer.
- Brighter, More Even-Looking Skin
- Exfoliation helps improve dullness, so skin can look brighter and more radiant.
- Regular use can help reduce the look of flaky patches and uneven texture.
- Helps Prevent Ingrown Hairs
- By keeping pores and follicles clear of dead skin, sugar scrubs can reduce the likelihood of ingrowns around areas you shave or wax (legs, bikini line, underarms).
- Boosts Circulation & “Glow”
- The massaging action stimulates surface circulation, which can give skin a healthy, temporary glow.
- Improves Absorption of Moisturizers
- After you exfoliate, lotions and body oils can sink in more easily, making them work better and feel richer.
- Hydrating (When Made With Oils/Butters)
- Many sugar scrubs are mixed with nourishing oils or butters (like coconut, jojoba, shea, etc.), we mainly use safflower.
- This combination exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time, leaving a protective, softening layer on the skin.
- Customizable & Natural
- Sugar is a simple, natural ingredient that pairs well with essential oils, botanicals, and skin-loving oils, which can be tailored for relaxation, invigoration, or specific skin needs.
Quick usage tips:
- Use 1–3 times per week on damp skin in the shower or bath.
- Massage in gentle circular motions, then rinse.
- Follow with a moisturizer if needed (often the scrub’s oils will be enough).
